Sandwich Heaven!

I admit it - I have a serious sandwich addition. For you "Friends" lovers out there, yes my passion for sandwiches is up there with the Joey Tribbiani's! :) So my new quest is to find the best sandwich in Alameda. I started my adventure yesterday with a visit to Jay's Coffee, Tea & Treats on Encinal, as they came up #1 in a Yelp search for the "Best Sandwiches" in town. After a highly satisfying experience with my BLTA on wheat, I agree that Jay's makes a mean sandwich (as well as a super-tasty chocolate chip coolie)! And the icing on the cake is that they wrap up each to-go sandwich like a little present - so sweet! Next in line will be The Sandwich Board, Domenicos Italian Deli, and The Waterfront Deli. My tummy is happy just thinking about it. :)

Last weekend we attended a wedding reception to celebrate the marriage of my long time friend Jenny to her new hubby Mikie.  They even had a pinata - so fun! Congrats you two! :)

 

 

Pre-Easter fun in Alameda

Every year Alameda does a community Easter celebration with family-oriented games, activities, a candy/egg scramble and pics with the Easter Bunny! Zoey was more interested in people watching than grabbing candy during the scramble, but she still got a few pieces of treats. And the Easter Bunny was a huge hit! We had a great time running around in the Spring sunshine and celebrating with our community.

Even though Spring is here it's still pretty chilly in the mornings, hence the need for fun indoor activities. Daddy got creative and helped Z build this awesome "doggy house". Good times. :)

 

 

 

Baby #2 is on the way! :)

We're very excited to announce that our family will be expanding very soon! I am pregnant with baby #2 due 10/2/13. Zoey is so excited to be a big sister and we can't wait to meet our new little one later this Fall. And we'll hopefully find out whether Zoey will have a little brother or litter sister in just a few weeks! Stay tuned!
